The Mothwoman's Tale

You decided

all at once
to break off
your paternal rights
before my birth.

You left holes
in my soul
in my eyes,
so I wouldn’t see you-

-Forever-

I’m a moth child
broken,
kept from you
as you wished it.

Growing up
from a moth child
into a mothwoman,
leaving my own holes
in my decisions
from then on
when you decided
to leave my life.

In my brokenness
I thought of you,
like you were
some kind of hero
in my idol worship
-a god.

Little did I know
at the time,
before experience took over
and told me otherwise
you are not to be worshiped
at all.

Now you sicken me
as I’ve discovered
from my older half-brother,
that you aren’t worthy
of my time.

You consume
too much hatred
towards yourself.
Even you are not worthy
of your own time.
You are gutless,
a worm cold and inhuman.
